It can lead to good consequences as well as bad. If used for a good and productive task, smartphones can be a great tool to help in building careers and studies. Smartphones can be a great resource for studies. nowadays, there are a lot of great online learning resources that can be accessed with the help of smartphones. Also during the COVID pandemic, students made great use of smartphones by using them for the learning process, attending online classes, etc. These are all counted under the advantages of smartphones.

As discussed earlier, the other side of the topic is the disadvantage of smartphones. We all know that the screen emits light but the catch here is it produces blue light that is harmful to our eyes. Overuse of smartphones can cause eye strain, headaches, and other physical problems. We know smartphones can help in studies but it is also true that overuse of smartphones for entertainment purposes like playing video games does nothing other than decrease the productivity of a person. If not used properly, smartphones can be a great means of time waste. These points come under the disadvantages of smartphones.

Smartphones are made for us, we aren't made for smartphones. Technology is growing so fast that we couldn't imagine this progress in the previous decade. While technology is growing, on the other hand, we are unable to make proper use of that technology. Hence, smartphones can be good friends of students as well as evil friends. What is important is we should learn to use them for our goodwill.
